Rock Point Provincial Park, Ontario

These Sandhill Cranes were found close to the road on the way to the park. Somewhere in Canada.

A couple of camera pics for the terrain. I love the beach here. Tons of fossils-you can get those at http://outofthemousenest.blogspot.com/

Rochester Wall Therapy 2013

We headed down to the Rochester Public Market to see Wall Therapy that was done last year and were hoping to see some of the artists in action this year. The two artists below were working at other spots in Rochester (near Natural Oasis on Monroe and a bakery on South Ave.) The exact locations are in the link is at the end of the post. For the 2012 murals, we had trouble getting around cars and people, so the framing is not ideal, but you can see how great they are.

It's worth checking out the progress they've both made with these murals.

Butterflies found

The internet doesn't need another Monarch picture, but sightings this year are far and few between. Word on the street is that one of the culprits is the proliferation of GMOs.

The following 3 were found at Rock Point Provincial Park in Canada. I can't figure out how to group my photos together like a normal person but I was on a roll with butterflies, so I threw these here instead of the forthcoming Rock Point post surfeit with Dragonflies and Damselflies.

Dragonflies and seriously distracted by flying things

It started with birds as most things do. Then on to the harder stuff: butterflies. However, it's been an awful year for them (which is very disheartening), so naturally I look for other movements, buzzes and flutters: dragonflies and damselflies. Rock bottom. I have some ID's down, but I am going to dump a portion these photos as I learn how to misidentify flying things all over again.
